Filming Places So They Still Feel Real

Travel work becomes stronger when the location keeps its identity. My goal is to shape atmosphere without flattening a place into a generic montage.

Travel films can easily become too interchangeable. The same transitions, the same speed ramps, the same broad idea of beauty. I try to resist that by paying attention to what makes a place itself.

Atmosphere is a real subject

I like strong visual treatment, but I never want grading or edit pace to erase the identity of a place. Good travel work should still feel like the location it came from.

That is usually the difference between footage that looks nice and footage that stays with you.
