The Right Person at the Right Time

Creative work often looks technical from the outside, but the work that lasts usually comes from emotional timing. The right person at the right time can change how you see your own life, and that clarity has a way of entering the work too.

Emotion before performance

That idea affects more than personal writing. It affects how I direct people, how long I let a moment breathe, and when I decide not to over-shoot something that is already saying enough.

Sometimes the most cinematic decision is simply to stay honest and not force meaning where it already exists.
